Czech club held talks on joining the KHL

Representatives of Czech club Energia of Karlovy Vary held talks with the leadership of the Continental Hockey League (KHL) accession to the KHL with sezona-2009/10. It is reported the official website of "Sports". However, the final decision about the involvement of "energy" in the tournament has not yet been decided.

The main obstacle to the entry of Czechs in the league is the budget for "energy". According to the timetable of KHL, the amount of wages hokkeistov club shall not be less than 300 million rubles. What is "Energy" is spending on players who did not specify, however, aware that the salary statements of Czechs is less than the specified amount.

Representatives of the "energy" promised that could bring the budget into line with the requirements of KHL. "Energy must provide guarantees for their participation in the tournament KHL sezona-2009/10 in January 2009.

Earlier, organizers KHL have repeatedly stated that they would welcome the entry into the European league clubs. Currently KHL were teams from Russia, Latvia, Belarus and Kazakhstan.
